Workshops
The club will be looking to hold up to eight practical workshop evening thought-out the season ranging from print and mounting workshops to lighting techniques and portraiture workshops. Each workshop will be held over two consecutive Wednesday evenings.
As with all programme events these are subject to change so please visit he website regularly and watch for updates via the club’s media.

Workshop 1 – Printing & Mounting Workshop
Wednesdays 28th January 2026 & 4th February 2026
With the purchase of the club’s own Canon pro310 printer and with the upcoming prints competition at the end of February, our first workshop will be a printing and mounting of images for this competition, so if members wish to have images printed out now is the time to do it. Therefore can members please bring images in on USB sticks.
Workshop 2 – Marco Photography
Wednesdays 4th March 2026 & 11th March 2026
Once again it is all up close and personal as club members attempt some macro photography. Bring cameras, tripods and anything you believe will provide a good subject for close-ups.

Workshop 3 – Light Painting Photography
Wednesdays 25th March 2026 & 1st April 2026
An evening of experimenting with some light painting set ups. Don’t forget to bring your camera.

Workshop 4 – Rim Lighting Portraiture
Wednesdays 29th April 2026 & 6th May 2026
An evening where Club members examine how to light a subject using a Rim Light, so if you have any creative ideas. Being them along with your camera, tripod, etc.

Workshop 5 – Printing and Mounting Workshop

Following on from our first workshop we will be holding another printing and mounting workshop, so if members wish to have images printed out now is the time to do it. Therefore can members please bring images in on USB sticks.
Workshop 6 – More Portraiture Photography
Wednesdays 1st July 2026 & 8th July 2026
An evening of Portraiture Photography, member will attempt to create interesting set-ups expanding on our Rim-Light workshop early in the year this time with a 3-light set-up. Workshop 7 – Splash, Water and Oil Photography
Wednesdays 16th September 2026 & 23rd September 2026
An evening where Club members experimenting with the use of water and other objects to produce creative and interesting images. So don’t forget to bring your camera, tripods and items that will make a splash.

Workshop 8 – Still-Life Photography
Wednesdays 4th November 2026 & 11th November 2026
An evening of Still-life Photography, member will attempt to create interesting set-ups with different lighting techniques and subjects. Remember to bring your cameras tripods and items to make interesting set-ups.
