Guest Speaker Evenings
The club will be looking to host several guest speaker evening thought-out the season. Hopefully, these will contain something for everyone’s taste from Infrared Photography to sports photography, from Travel to Landscape.
As with programme events these are subject to change so please visit he website regularly and watch for updates via the club’s media.

Presenter Wayne John returns to the club to give his Infrared Demystified presentation. A talk on IR from first principles to the finished item.

An Evening with Roy Carr AWPF
Wednesday 13th May 2026
Roy will give us his ‘From Very Near to Not Quite So Far’ talk. Which will take you from his back garden (expect to see close-up images of flowers and insects) into his street where you will meet some local characters (of the two and four legged varieties) and around the village of Bedlinog where he live. In the second part he will take you on some brief excursions to the Vale of Glamorgan, the Brecon Beacon and the ‘Waterfall Country’ of the Neath Valley before returning to the beautiful Pits Woods, just 20 minutes’ walk from his home, revealing how it changes across the seasons.
An Evening with Paul Branchflower LRPS

This evening Paul Branchflower LRPS will be making his first visit to the club. Paul is a member of Afan Nedd CC and a very experienced judge and photographer. This evening he will be presenting his “America, My Views” talks with digital images from the west coast to east coast of America,
An Evening with Andy Leslie

Alan Leslie makes a second visit to the club this time as a presenter. This evening will entertaining club members with his ‘Wild Life/Street Life Talk.
An Evening with Steve Greening AWPF
Wednesday 25th November 2026
Steve Greening is a new presenter on the WPF circuit and will be making his first visit to Merthyr Tydfil Camera Club. Steve gained his AWPF in 2024 with a panel on Insect Marco. Steve will be presenting his “Day out in Nature” talk which is a print and digital talk in two parts, which is mainly insects/bugs and some birds.
