Show & Tell at Rhondda Camera Club:

We visit Rhondda Camera Club for a ‘Show & Tell’ evening at the Dai Davies Community Centre, Painters Row, Porth CF39 9AZ

for a 7:30pm start. Our members will be presenting a selection of their images from the past year.

Guest Speaker – An Evening with Chris Norton

This evening something different Chris Norton from Hay Camera Club will presenting his slide show entitled

“Behind the scenes of a Cruise Ship Photographer!”

Internal Competition 1 – Prints:

Our first prints competition of the year. Each member submit up to a maximum of 3 colour prints and 3 Monochrome prints.

Image Selection Evening – Only Mono Competition

Selection of 4 Monochrome prints for the ‘Only Mono’ competition on the 3rd April 2027.

Could each member please bring in 2 monochrome prints for selection, we require 4 images by 4 different photographers.

This year there will be trophy for the best print produced from a film camera so you may bring prints produced in this matter for selection

all monochrome or a mix of both.

The WPF AGM will be held at the Talbot Green Community Centre at 2.30pm.

The Photography & Video Show is the event for anyone passionate about photography, video

or content creation. Thousands of visual storytellers visit over four days to try and buy the latest

camera kit and accessories, get tips and inspiration from big names, connect with each other –

and enjoy a great day out!

Internal Competition – Panel:

The New Panel competition comprises of a cohesive set of 3 print linked by a strong theme, story, or visual style,

judged as a single body of work rather than as individual images.

The panel will requiring consistent mounting, colour and tonality, and visual flow to tell a deeper narrative or

to able to explore the images subject comprehensively. The winning panel will received a new trophy ‘The Walter Waygood Trophy’

Each Member are allowed to submit one panel of three images

Welcome Back – ‘Show & Tell’ Evening plus Image Selection for Rhondda Open: 

Members who wish to show and tell us about some of the images they have taken over the summer break. Please bring images on a USB stick

Selection of 4 PDI images for the Rhondda Open in October, can each member bring 2 PDI images to be considered for selection.

An evening with Barry Hill judging our Annual Competition, who will be selecting a winning print and

projected digital image from each of the following categories Action, Close Up/Tabletop, Landscape,

Miscellaneous Pictorial, Natural History and People.

The End of Season Quiz Night & Annual Fish Supper

Final club evening of the season. Our annual end of season Quiz Night along with a fish and chips supper from Sammy’s Fish Bar.
