The 1991 visit to Clichy-la-Garenne

When Merthyr Tydfil was twinned with Clichy-la-Garenne in 1981, it was only natural that at some point Merthyr Tydfil Photographic Society, as the club was known as back then, would have to visit the town. This opportunity came in 1991when the French Photographic Society based in Clichy-la-Garenne were holding an exhibition with the club were invited to submit a selection of prints.

Ceinfryn Robins, who took many photographs that you can see on the page along with fellow members Ray Smith and Keith Simnett meet with members of the French Photographic Society and spent a great couple of days in Paris.
Apart from seeing the exhibition they had a tour of the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, and a wonderful lunch on a river boat taking in more sights.
